I love supporting the message that art is for everyone!

What makes your heart soar? community art project with the Eldorado PK-8 school

Thanks to a mini-grant from the Town of Superior, Daryl McCool of d.a.m. Cool Graphics devised this project that includes the whole school community. Every student has the opportunity to create their own mini art piece that through words or pictures tell us what makes them soar.

The stars are being placed on the north fence between Wildflower Park and the school play area. In addition to the fence “mural”, two winged chairs have been placed among the stars so people can sit, take selfies or just simply reflect on what makes their heart soar.

Why a community public art project? Art in public spaces gives an area a unique identity and shows its sense of pride. Making the arts part of our lives can help us to better appreciate ourselves as a community and enrich us culturally.
